Description
Lecture, five hours. Enforced requisite: proficiency demonstrated on English as a Second Language Placement Examination. Development of academic reading, writing, and language skills with focus on reading comprehension, vocabulary development, and analysis of discipline-specific research articles, with additional work on fundamental composition techniques, grammar, and editing. S/U or letter grading.
