<p>Lecture, three hours; studio, one hour; outside study, eight hours. Designed for juniors/seniors. Exploration of music, in search of interesting, new, and unusual. Investigation of musical possibilities via record store, Internet, and music library; environmental sounds and patterns; body (clapping, stepping, and singing); and hardware store (found sound). Participants collaborate with fellow students in creative efforts and in presentations of research results. Concurrently scheduled with course C273. P/NP or letter grading.</p>
