Lecture, three hours. Requisite: course 2. How archaeological research is furthered by specialized analysis of particular classes of cultural remains. Topics may include animal bones, plants, ceramics, rock art. Hands-on experience working with collections and data. May be repeated for credit with topic change. P/NP or letter grading.
