<p>(Formerly numbered Chicana and Chicano Studies CM182.) (Same as History M151C.) Lecture, three hours; discussion, one hour (when scheduled). Designed for juniors/seniors. History, construction, and representation of whiteness in American society. Readings and discussions trace evolution of white identity and explore its significance to historical construction of race class in American history. Concurrently scheduled with course C256. Letter grading.</p>
