<p>(Same as Chicana/o and Central American Studies M105B.) Lecture, four hours; discussion, one hour (when scheduled). Enforced requisite: English Composition 3. Chicana/Chicano literature from 1920s through Great Depression and World War II, ending with Chicana/Chicano civil rights movement. Oral and written narratives by writers including Conrado Espinoza, Jovita González, Cleofas Jaramillo, Angelico Chávez, Mario Suárez, Oscar Acosta, and Evangelina Vigil. P/NP or letter grading.</p>
