<p>Seminar, three hours; writing laboratory, two hours. Enforced requisite: English Composition 3 or 3H or English as a Second Language 36. Study of early and middle 20th-century’s attempt to construct significance in a general climate of disillusionment by way of literature, literary criticism, and other intellectual movements. Satisfies Writing II requirement. Letter grading.</p>
