<p>Lecture, three hours. Conceptual study of seapower, with emphasis on historical development of naval and commercial power. Seapower examined in relation to economic, political, and cultural strengths, with focus on current abilities of specific nations to use oceans to attain national objectives. P/NP or letter grading.</p>
