<p>Lecture, three hours; discussion, one hour. Preparation: two philosophy courses. Study of writings of one or more major modern philosophers (e.g., Russell, Moore, Wittgenstein, Carnap, Quine). May be repeated for credit with consent of instructor. P/NP or letter grading.</p>
