<p>Lecture, four hours; discussion, 90 minutes. Preparation: high school background in either biology or chemistry. General overview of field of neuroscience to serve as introduction to Neuroscience major. Topics covered include brief history of field, basic neurophysiology and neuroanatomy, research methods, experimental design, data analysis, and career prospects. May not be applied toward elective requirements for major. Letter grading.</p>
