Exploration of how histories of place are both present and absent on college campuses and higher education settings. Indigenous Presence: Land, Place, and Space in Higher Education

Demonstrate an understanding of how lands/waters, place, and space has been conceptualized by Indigenous communities and by institutions of higher education (Program Learning Goal 3).

Analyze and critique higher education policies that are connected to lands/waters, place, and space and how these policies promote Indigenous absence and/or presence (Program Learning Goal 4).

Describe how their own relationship with lands/waters, place, and space has shaped their own learning trajectories (Program Learning Goal 8).

Demonstrate an understanding of how the historical context of higher education shapes current discussions about access to and the use of lands/waters, place, and space on college campuses (Program Learning Goal 3).

Demonstrate understanding of diverse perspectives on lands/waters, place and space and how these perspectives intersect with social justice and Indigenous futures (Program Learning Goal 8).

Communicate information about their own personal mobility narratives (Program Learning Goal 7).

Demonstrate the ability to respectfully share ideas across multiple contexts (e.g., online platforms, small group conversations, whole class discussion) (Program Learning Goal 7).

Demonstrate an understanding of how the history of higher education shapes Indigenous presence and/or absence on college campuses (Program Learning Goal 3).
