<p>Seminar, three hours. Focus on the application of functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) methods to investigate the neural basis of social and affective phenomena. Methods include representational similarity analysis, decoding mental states from fMRI data, and intersubject neural synchrony. Covered techniques also be applied to data from other neuroimaging modalities (e.g., electroencephalogram, magnetoencephalography, functional near-infrared spectroscopy). May be repeated for credit. S/U or letter grading.</p>

Advanced Neuroimaging Methods for Social and Affective Neuroscience

The core objective of this course is to provide a deep understanding of advanced data analysis techniques for social and affective neuroscience research. 

Students will gain familiarity and proficiency with relevant software tools, how best to design studies to effectively leverage such techniques, and communicating effectively about these methods.


Students will critically evaluate their use in the literature and to effectively leverage these techniques in your own studies.
