Social, political, and economic literacies:
Students will explore the ways that struggles over control of political institutions, economic production and consumption has shaped, reshaped, and even overthrown class, race, gender, and sexual hierarchies.


Integrative thinking: 
Students will develop skills in evaluating and articulating their own arguments and analyses drawing upon sources such as existing scholarship, archival research, and cultural artifacts and pieces of art.


Media, narrative, visual literacies
Students will evaluate, read, and grasp the significance of a wide variety of cultural artifacts and artistic creations.
